Questions about MyDS and change of address

Your results are listed under more than one name/town
Use the My-DS search on the right side of the homepage to call up the corresponding datasets. Please choose the “Merge persons” folder on the right portion of the page. Drag the two people you would like to merge together into the appropriate boxes with your mouse. (Please note: please drag the desired target person into the box on the right.) Confirm the action with “merge”. You can remove the selected persons from the field at any time by clicking on the cross below the box.

Your address/personal information is no longer correct
  • For a specific event

Every event has its own individual address databank. If you find incorrect address information on a pre-printed payment slip, contact the organiser directly. You’ll find the e-mail address on the organiser's website.

  • In your MyDS account:

To change your address in MyDS, log in to your account. (“This way to MyDS account” in the top right corner of the homepage). You’ll be taken directly to your personal information and can change your address at any time.


Changes to Surname, First name, Date of birth or Gender
Due to the attached history and personal results associated with the dataset in question, it is, as a matter of course, not possible to replace one person with another. If you wish to make changes to a surname, first name, date of birth or gender, the changes must first be verified by Datasport. The request will only be granted if it is for a correction of information (e.g. correction of incorrect information, name change in case of marriage). If you would like to add a person to your account, choose “add additional persons” and enter the corresponding information.

Problems with the Online-Accounts

A result is missing in your myDS account
The results of events which rely on the services of Datasport are automatically recorded in your myDS account. If a result is absent from your personal list in your myDS account, this may be due to various causes:
  • the event is not a Datasport client
  • the competition form of the event is not supported by myDS (e.g. relay or team competitions)
  • the event was completed in the recent past and the results have not yet been completely exported to the myDS database.
If your event is not shown for the first two reasons, you can record the results desired in your myDS account at any time yourself. You will find more information on this here: http://www.datasport.com/en/For-athletes/myDS-account/Enter--your-results.htm

What happened to my accounts at www.datasport.com?
In the course of developping the new homepage, the various accounts and databanks were combined at www.datasport.com. For reasons of simplicity, there is now only one account for all services (online registration, MyDS, etc.). In order to be able to access your account, please enter the e-mail address and password which you previously used for online registration.

Why does my password no longer work?
Your accounts at www.datasport.com were combined for reasons of simplicity. In order to access your new account, please enter the e-mail address and password which you previously used for online registration. If you didn't have an account for online registrations, see "How can I create a new account?".

What happened to my MyDS data?
As a result of combining the different databanks at www.datasport.com, it may be that not all the data from your MyDS account were carried over. The owners of the accounts affected were given prior notice via e-mail.

How can I create a new account?
In order to create a new account, the best way is to open any online registration. Enter your name and information but do not pay for the registration at the end. Your new account has now been created.

You get a newsletter that you had allready unsubscribed
In the course of the entire modernisation of our IT and web platform, we consolidated various databases.
Despite careful merging and reconciling, it is unfortunately not possible in all instances to determine a person's most up to date e-mail address.
If you no longer wish to receive the Datasport newsletter at this e-mail address, please unsubscribe using the link at the end of the newsletter.
Of course, we will also be happy to continue sending your the newsletter full of interesting news and information at this e-mail address if you so desire.
