Motivation tips for the autumn and winter months

  • Change your workout habits

If you prefer being on the move in daylight and warmer temperatures, it is worthwhile to break away from the usual rhythm and, for instance, to complete the usual workout during the work week at noon.

  • Become more versatile – work out in alteration

Go with the seasons of the year and try other sports too: Dabble with a mountain bike, running shoes, or – once snow is lying on the ground – with cross-country skis. You will see that this versatility is fun, while variety in training and also everyday life brings your performance to a new level.

  • Set a goal

Without a goal, no way is the right one. Therefore, figure out a somewhat challenging objective in the form of an event, or a number of training units or kilometres per week. You will see the very motivating impact this has on your day-to-day training and your mood. Especially once you’ve reached your goal!

  • Follow a workout plan

If you work out according to a plan, you always have the pleasant feeling of doing the right thing at the right time. This way, you have a good conscience whether on the move very slowly or really picking up speed, and are not always on the same route at the same pace. During the autumn and winter months, training is thus varied and a jump in performance is only a matter of time!

  • Arrange to work out with like-minded people

Once a fixed appointment with someone is regularly on your agenda, doing sports suddenly becomes a hard and fast commitment. And as we all know, constant dropping wears away a stone: You will see that regular training over the autumn and winter months leads to new heights in the following year.

  • Equip yourself with the necessary tools

New, reflective textiles, a high-visibility jacket, or a head lamp not only make your training safer, but also give you an additional source of motivation.

  • Positive perception instead of overexertion

When you work out all year round outdoors, you experience the nature and the seasons in all their facets. That is priceless! Therefore, always allow the time to pause for a moment and take in beautiful moments.
