Windows 10

Introduction

Efficient participant administration

Organisers work with Windata (remote) via the Internet directly on Datasport servers and as a result enjoy numerous advantages:

  • Participant data is stored on Datasport servers. Our data centre is designed for high security and protects against unauthorised access and hacking.
  • Datasport ensures the daily backups and protects you against data loss.
  • Several people can access the participant data simultaneously.
  • The Sport Service Manager has full access to the data at all times and can carry out important database operations.

Windata (remote) environment

Organisers can work remotely in the database via the Windata (remote) environment and make changes. The solution satisfies the highest demands in terms of performance, availability and security.

Your advantages

  • 7x24h remote access to participant data
  • Making changes and queries
  • Printing statistics and lists
  • Modern infrastructure, enhanced security and daily backups

Getting started

Establish connection

  1. The Sport Service Manager has sent you the configured remote desktop connection by e-mail. Please save the file Datasport-Server.rdp on your desktop.
  2. Start the remote desktop connection and activate at the security query → Nicht erneut nach Verbindungen mit diesem Computer fragen and confirm with → Verbinden.
  3. Enter your login data to establish the connection, activate → Anmeldedaten speichern and confirm the entry with → OK.
  4. As soon as the remote desktop connection has been established, the taskbar shows the Datasport icon and Windata (remote) is launched automatically.
  5. You can now make changes and queries independently in Windata (remote) as part of the information of the Sport Service Manager.

  6. To close the remote desktop connection properly first close Windata (remote) via → file → exit.

General tips

  1. Simple opening of Windata (remote) via the Datasport icon
If you close Windata (remote), the remote desktop connection remains; resources on the local computer are not used. The remote desktop connection is only finally separated after the computer is restarted. You can restart Windata (remote), by → rechte Maustaste on the Datasport icon → Windata {Eventbezeichnung}.
  2. Datasport icon permanently in the taskbar
Icons in the task list disappear after a few minutes in the standard setting. To show the Datasport icon permanently, select → rechte Maustaste on the Datasport icon → Eigenschaften and in the register taskbar /info area select Anpassen. At the Datasport symbol set → Verhalten: Symbol und Benachrichtigungen einblenden and confirm with → OK.
  3. Password
    3.1 General
Datasport passwords correspond to prevailing security standards. In the event of a change, only sufficiently secure passwords are permitted. Important: The remote access and login data are personal and may not be passed on. If you need several accounts, contact your Sport Service Manager.

    3.2 Change password
The remote desktop connection must be established. Click with → rechter Maustaste on the  Datasport icon and select → Change Password.

    3.3 Change / delete passwords
If you saved the password for the remote desktop connection, Windows tries to log in with the old password. Consequently, in the event of a password change, the saved Windows password must be deleted first.
